Summary: In which Nico brings a McDonalds meal, and Percy thinks he's dead.
of burgers and coke
Percy's eyes opened in the darkness. His eyelids were heavy to lift, and it was hurting. There was a small light in front of him. It was growing bigger an bigger. He tried to sit up but his body ached. He was confused for a moment. Was he sitting, or standing, or lying down? He panicked for a moment because he couldn't feel his body. He felt like he was just a floating head in this place.
The light stopped growing. A silhouette of a person appeared inside of that light. He started walking towards Percy, and the latter clung to bedsheets that was covering his body. The shadow was besides him now. But it was only Nico di Angelo with a McDonald's paper bag.
Oh god, am I dead? Percy thought, staring at Nico and the bag in his hand. Am I a ghost? He couldn't remember anything prior to this meeting.
Nico di Angelo huffed. "You're not dead, don't worry. Stop staring at me like that." He placed the paper bag on Percy's lap. "Annabeth's in the other room, watched over by the girls, but I'm in charge of taking care of you."
Percy tried to speak, since hundreds of questions stirred around his mind, but nothing came out of his mouth. Nurse Nico opened the brown bag for Percy, and took out two burgers, fries and coke. "Glad you made it out of Tartarus in one piece," Nico murmured. "You probably saw more than I did."
Ugly, dreadful things, Percy agreed silently, so he nodded to Nico. Looking at the food, his brain went blank and he thought nothing but how the food in front of him looked so delicious. So he took one of the burgers and unwrapped it. He brought the burger up to his face, and when he opened his mouth, his jaw felt like it was being stretched painfully.
But fast food, sweet mother goddess of fast food he thanked her, for he hadn't eaten anything like this for a long time, and one month was a long time to him. Slowly but hungrily, Percy swallowed all the food and finished his coke. He burped. Nico simply watched him, sitting on the edge of the bed Percy was lying on.
"McDonald's again, huh." Percy managed to croak, brushing away the crumbs from the mattress. He leaned back to the bedpost and smiled at Nico.
"I think it's healthy to eat unhealthy sometimes," Nico said, the side of his lips twitched, attempting to smile back at Percy.
Summary: It is these moments that Reyna loves and takes to heart.
Reyna likes Piper's hair. It has become longer since the first time they met. Dark brown and soft, and only a little choppy. Lately, it haven't had any trinkets or those small little accessories she wore, the multicolored beads and clips. She lets her hair down, which has grown to pass below her shoulders. If Reyna looks closer, there are dark freckles on Piper's cheeks, her hands were a little smaller than Reyna's, but rough like hers, and her shoulders were round and smooth.
Reyna can't help finding her a little more beautiful than usual.
They both sit down on the fields of flowers, away from Camp Jupiter, away from the pressure of work and people. They both enjoy the comfortable silence between them. Reyna brushes Piper's hair with her fingers. And in a moment she starts to braid them. Small fine braids first, and then one that's similar to what Reyna is wearing. Piper starts to pick flowers from around her, and starts to put them together. The breeze blows to their direction. Reyna breathes a sigh. A feeling of release. The heavy burden inside her chest lifts. She feels light, in a good way.
Reyna finishes fixing Piper's hair. Piper is also done with arranging the flowers in her hands. She turns to Reyna, holding a flower crown. There are flowers that Reyna couldn't name, but the colors compliment each other well. Piper places it on top of Reyna's head, and then holds her face in her hands. It is these moments, these smallest things, that Reyna loves and takes to heart. Whatever Piper do (like the lightest kiss, the fleeting touch of their fingers, and an embrace that she didn't know she really needed), it makes Reyna's heart lighter.
But sometimes she thinks that this relationship is something very blissful and sad. She has resigned to the thought that nothing lasts forever, and that includes this. It hurts her, because even the tiniest of things matter; the luxuries and simplicities of it will be taken away when everything ends.
Piper sees Reyna's expression slowly falling, so she leans and places a kiss on her forehead, and Reyna closes her eyes. If this is going to end in a another heartbreak, then it is best for her to cherish it for now, and be doleful about it later.
(Except Piper has no intentions of hurting Reyna anymore.)

Very eventful. Very eventful indeed. Exams, birthday parties, world war with cockroaches, you name it.
But anyways, still writing fanfics and stories. Abraham Lincoln has invaded my mind today and insist or writing an Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter fic. I should do that later, after I clear up a couple of other work to make room for more to come. I will be writing the Smosh fic for my sister pretty soon. I just need to plan out how the humor (and drama?) have Smosh-esque humor. Also checking out my old WIPs and finishing them. I found that they should be out of my computer by now. A breathe of fresh air for all the work I've been putting in The Jackson Legacy.
Ay, I've been reading fanfics again! Just trying out different fandoms, specifically movie fics. I've already visited Inception, and I'm trying out Back to the Future. xD
And I've been listening to Imagine Dragon's (have to thank Anastasia Laurels of ff.net for recommending them) latest album, Night Visions. Pretty awesome, though they have their old songs in there.
Hi, and welcome to this nice writing journal started. What should this journal contain? Writing, mostly fanfiction (multi-chaptered, or oneshots cut to parts, etc.), but there will be some original pieces here and there. I'll prolly not only post stuff, I'll prolly talk about writing-related things like writing-related websites.
I really do I hope I won't abandoned this journal. It looks lovely. ;___;
P.S. So I've recently checked Gender Genie to see how this blog entry will sound like. It sounded like a girl. XD
